Sweat in Style, Save the Planet: The Rise of Sustainable Activewear

Since diving into the world of the Tide Method as a teacher, my wardrobe has undergone a complete transformation. Gone are the days of jeans, Converse, and chunky knits (though they still hold a special place in my heart!). Now, I practically live in activewear. Seriously, it's leggings, tees, and hoodies every single day. So, it's safe to say I've amassed quite a collection of workout gear.

But here's the thing: as much as I adore the comfort and versatility of activewear, the thought of contributing to fast fashion and its unsustainable practices makes me cringe. I'm not just looking for a fitness high; I want my clothing choices to reflect my values and minimise my impact on the planet. What if my activewear could make me feel good about my workouts and my contribution to a healthier Earth?

That's where the magic of sustainable activewear comes in. These eco-conscious brands are a game-changer for fitness enthusiasts like me who want to make a difference. They offer stylish, high-performance pieces that are kind to the planet and look amazing. Read on to learn more about my favourite sustainable activewear brands and how they're changing the game!

WE Love Heulog!

They use innovative recycled fabrics and prioritize minimizing their environmental footprint throughout their production process, by keeping everything local. They are the opposite of fast fashion. TLC's vibrant designs and performance-driven fabrics will keep you looking and feeling great during your workouts. A big tick from Tide.

Boody:

Known for their incredibly soft and comfortable bamboo fabric, Boody offers a range of essential activewear pieces. Bamboo is a highly sustainable resource, requiring minimal water and no pesticides to grow. I only recently discovered this Australian brand, and since

LNDR:

Hands down my favourite workout leggings. I live in their Chisel pants, super comfortable, super supportive and wash up well. But it’s more than just the look and feel. This brand is committed to clothing that works, lasts and can be passed on. Combined with the commitment to use fabrics, yarns and dyes that are free from chemicals including BPA, PFAS and Fluorine, and you know you are buying in to a sustainable product.

Investing in sustainable activewear is an investment in yourself and the planet. By choosing ethical and eco-friendly brands, you can look good, feel good, and do good, all while achieving your fitness goals. So, ditch the fast fashion and embrace the future of fitness – it's sustainable, stylish, and seriously good for the planet.
